Tracy Butler-Holdaway

Co-Director

Clinician (Nurse)

Tracy grew up in Northland where she trained as a nurse, and has travelled and worked extensively throughout Australia and the United Kingdom.

Throughout her nursing career, Tracy observed many people with unsightly nails who were frustrated by the lack of available treatment options and their resulting poor outcomes.

“Over my years in nursing, I’ve found so many pharmacological options can be harsh or cumbersome for patients and don’t provide the best outcome. There are better solutions, particularly for those with fingernail pathology as this is difficult to hide and can be incredibly embarrassing.”

Tracy believes in ensuring people receive the most appropriate treatment and is passionate about innovative technologies such as the Lunula cold laser which optimises a patient's immune and circulatory systems to eradicate fungal infections.

Astrid Walters

Clinician (Podiatrist)

Astrid works as a Podiatrist at our Newmarket clinic. She began her studies in Health Science at AUT after returning from Australia with her family, with an interest in children’s health leading her into the podiatry profession.

Astrid believes in a whole-person, holistic approach to treatment, and understands the impact unpleasant nails can have on one’s self-esteem and well-being. She takes great pride in her work, with a particular interest in being able to provide immediate cosmetic improvement by using technology such as Keryflex on damaged nails.

Astrid is also passionate about ensuring the lower limb health of young ballerinas and fits pointe shoes in her free time.

Brian Hudson

Clinician (Podiatrist)

Brian grew up in Wellington and studied in Auckland with a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) in 2022. Brian was drawn to podiatry to be able to help people on a daily basis and improve their foot and ankle well being. He is passionate about people and delivering the best possible outcomes for each individual patient. Brian is a keen walker and loves exploring nature.

He frequents the Hakarimata summit steps and many beaches in summer. Brian's favourite aspect of the job is analysing and discussing lower limb pathologies, in a multidisciplinary approach, in order to problem-solve, treat, and send home patients smiling with results.
